Rocket Industrial Moves National Headquarters to Downtown Wausau
We are thrilled to announce that Rocket Industrial — an “innovative packaging maverick” that has been in the Wausau area since 1957 — has moved its national headquarters to downtown Wausau’s Third Street Lifestyle Center in the space formerly occupied by Nike. According to a blog article on the company website, “The Rocket Industrial Wausau team has only been in our new space for a couple of weeks, but we already feel at home. A lot of thought went into this new office space, such as our uniquely named conference rooms, collaboration areas, and break rooms for company gatherings, but what we are most excited about is our new location in downtown Wausau.”
Rocket Industrial “inherited” a mural of the Green Bay Packer’s Lambeau Field on one of its break room walls. According to the company blog, “Previously occupied by Nike, the mural was painted to remind employees of athletic achievement and competition, yet Rocket Industrial translates these values into our business and work environment. Similar to the passion of the Green Bay Packers, Rocket Industrialists continue to solve packaging challenges and are finding new, innovative ways to do so.”
Below is the Rocket Industrial press release that announces the move.
WAUSAU (February, 2020) – The national headquarters of Rocket Industrial, the packaging leader ranked a “Great Place to Work” for four consecutive years, now occupies the iconic shoe brand’s former showroom in Wausau’s 3rd Street Lifestyle Center.
The space will serve as a launching pad for the next wave of growth for the expanding packaging distributor. Located at 200 Washington Street in downtown Wausau, the nearly 12,000 square foot space will allow for future expansion. Rocket Industrial’s former space at 8101 International Drive in Wausau has been purchased by the custom signage firm Graphic House Inc.
“It’s exciting to be in Nike’s former space. They are a performance company and, in a slightly different way, so are we. Our idea of performing is to cut our customers’ costs while also getting closer to zero-waste, a truly achievable goal,” Rocket Industrial President Ryan Gallagher said. “We’ll continue to work passionately in this new space to build a rewarding, meaningful and fun place for our team to work.”
“Compass Properties is celebrating 20 years of improving downtown Wausau,” said Compass General Manager Mark Craig, “and we now have even more to celebrate as we welcome Rocket Industrial’s team to our Third Street Lifestyle Center, bringing fresh energy to the complex and to downtown Wausau.”
Rocket Industrial also relocated its local distribution center into a larger facility at 401 North 72nd Avenue, Wausau, formerly occupied by Footlocker.com/Eastbay. The larger space now accommodates an expanded packaging equipment service facility and packaging test lab.
